Garcia studied theatre in the "Teatro Nacional de Colombia".
She studied Social Comunication and Company’s Administration.
In 1994, she started a band named Cafe Moreno along with her sister Claudia.
Danna released her first album titled "Momposino" in 1994 which received triple-platinum certificate.
She made her acting debut with the television show "Imaginate" in 1987.
Garcia later acted the major role of Marcela Vallejo Cortez in the television show "Cafe con aroma de mujer" in 1993.
She performed in several television shows like "Haablame de amor" [1999], "Lo que callamos las mujeres" [2002], Pasion de gavilanes" [2 episodes: 2003-2004], "Te voy a ensenar a querer" [3 episodes: 2004], "Decisiones" [2007], "Un gancho al corazon" [2 episodes: 2008-2009] and many other TV shows.
Danna Garcia acted her first movie "El dia es hoy" in 1996.
She signed the Maybelline as the company's newest Hispanic spokes model for its cosmetics advertisements in print and television.
Garcia also signed Garnier Fructis as a spokes model for their hair products in print and television as well.
In 2008, Danna was named the most beautiful face in People en Espanol's Los 50 mas Bellos list.
She won the "Canal caracol" Awards for best leading actress in the Colombian soap opera "Pasion de Gavilanes" in 2004.
